The Junior Girls Volleyball Team has finished their season with much to be proud of over a short six weeks of games and practices. Many of the girls had little or no experience with volleyball at the beginning of the season but worked hard to develop their playing skills and understanding of the game. The team’s spirit was always high and the girls enjoyed themselves immensely. They can be proud of winning a total of 5 individual for-points games and for coming very close in several other games. For many of the players, this was just the beginning, as they intend to be back next year for the Senior Girls Volleyball Team!
A huge debt of gratitude goes to Winnie Hon for volunteering her time and energy to coach the team and for being a referee at the games. She was a wonderful coach! The girls learned so much from her. A special thank you also goes out to Ms. Chung for volunteering her time after school to lead the Thursday practices.
